Just perfect!! Lovely four foot waves rolling into Borth and peeling really well. None of the usual close-outs and waves backing off on you, just perfect long lefts and rights. There were peaks all along the beach, and lines as far as you coudl see out to sea. Quite a few people were out (and lots of them had decided against the Trap which was double overhead and barelling!!).

I went out on my brothers board as it was the biggest board I have, and the waves looked pretty meaty from the shore. Once out there, they weren't actually as big as I thought. Once I got used to the smooth flowing nature of the board, rather than the slashy, snappy 5'10" that I'm used to, everything just fell into place. I had some lovely waves, and was fine going both ways for a change. Having the longer board gave me just a little more time and made things that much easier. I didn't manage any slashy tunrs on it, but long flowing rides were the order of the day anyway.

More of the same tomorrowe hopefully.
